9/2012: We see Logan’s picture on the Holt website

10/5/12: Adoption application sent to Holt

10/6/12: Adoption application approved!

10/6/12: Request and receive Yuan Ke’s (Logan’s) file for review 

10/15/12: Home Study application sent to Bellefaire JCB

10/17/12: Home Study application approved! 

10/17/12: Pre-Adoption medical consultation regarding Logan’s special needs

10/25/12: Home Study visit #1

10/28/12: 10 hours of education completed

11/19/12: Letter of Intent (LOI) sent to Holt (Our official acceptance of our child’s referral)

11/19/12: Pre-Approval – The CCCWA successfully uploads our LOI (Our LOI is translated and uploaded to the China Center for Children’s Welfare and Adoption website.)

11/29/12: Receive passports

12/6/12: Home Study visit #2

12/7/12: Home Study visit #3

12/12/12: Home Study visit #4

2013

1/23/13: Home Study approved! 

1/29/13: Mailed our I800A USCIS application (Formally known as “Application for Determination of Suitability to Adopt a Child from a Convention Country”.)

2/4/13: USCIS notification that they’ve received our I800A application (The USCIS is the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.)

3/6/13: Fingerprinted! 

3/8/13: I-797 Approved! (Official approval of our I800A by the USCIS)

3/12/13: I-797 sent to Holt for certification and authentication.

4/3/13: I-797 certification and authentication completed!

4/5/13: Dossier to China (DTC) 

4/10/13: Log in Date (LID)

5/17/13: Letter of Acceptance from China (LOA)

6/17/13: Receive Our I-800

6/21/13: Hague Documents to China

6/28/13: National Visa Cable (NVC)

7/12/13: Article 5! 

7/17/12: Travel Approval! (TA)

7/23/13: Receive Visa Appointment & Travel Dates! 

8/8/13: Leave for China!
