10/15/13: Adoption application sent to Holt

10/16/13: Adoption application approved!

11/11/13: Home Study Update application sent to Bellefaire JCB

11/18/13: Home Study Update visit

2014

2/19/14: Home Study update approved!

2/5/14: Mailed our I800A Supplement 3 USCIS application (Formally known as “Application for Determination of Suitability to Adopt a Child from a Convention Country”.)

4/15/14:  I-797 update approved!

4/21/14:  We decide not to request any new files from Holt at this time.

4/22/14:  Holt calls and asks if we would consider looking at the file of a little boy.  We say yes.

4/22/14:  We see the pictures and video of little Lian Xiao Lai, our new son!

5/1/14:  Letter of Intent (LOI) sent to Holt ((Our official acceptance of our child’s referrel.)

5/2/14:  Preliminary Approval – The CCCWA successfully uploads our LOI (Our LOI is translated and uploaded to the China Center for Children’s Welfare Adoption website.)

5/20/14: Receive our Child Assignment Packet from Holt.

5/28/14:  Mail Maxwell’s Placement Agreement to Holt.

5/30/14: Dossier to China! (DTC)

6/10/14: Log in Date (LID)  (Our dossier has been successfully logged in to the CCCWA system in China.)

9/3/14: Letter of Approval from China (LOA)!

9/25/14: Receive our I-800

9/29/14: National Visa Cable (NVC)

10/23/14: Article 5!

11/3/14: Travel Approval! (TA)

11/6/14: Receive Visa Appointment & Travel Dates!

12/4/14: Leave for China!
